Wild Well Beings: Summer Retreat
7 & 8 June, Ruscombe, Gloucestershire
Join us in beautiful Gloucestershire as we consciously connect to the shift from spring to summer. Summer brings with it many qualities and gifts that can mirror our personal journeys, and help us tap into what we truly need in our lives for personal growth and wellbeing, in service of all Life.
- Experience constellations – emergent rituals which move you gently through your stuck places, by including your ‘parts’, ancestors, family, creative life and work systems.
- Be seen and heard in well-held, full-group circle time and pair work.
- Look deeply into the mirror of Nature, receiving her holding and guidance during a nature solo (three hours on the land in a mini-vision quest) and storytelling circle.
- Benefit from the wisdom of a group of like-minded like-hearted beings. Re-member yourself as part of the interconnected web of life.
The Alchemy of our Approach
We offer a unique collaboration of two gentle, powerful approaches to transformation, supporting people to move through the seasons with integrity, intention and joy.
Combining the gentle power of systemic constellation work into the umbrella structure used in wilderness rites of passage makes the Wild Well Beings experience unique (as far as we know!).
What to expect
We begin by greeting each other and the land, co-creating a container of psychological safety which will support each of us to show up as we are, receive that which we long for and need – and of course, enjoy ourselves! Then we dive in together:
Day One: Intention-setting and Reconnecting
We reflect on the seasonal threshold, asking ourselves – what is my heart really calling for now? We listen deeply to each other and look for clues in nature to tune into other levels of information than that which we can know with our conscious minds.
We each form an intention statement to articulate our heart’s desire, and enter the field of discovery through paired and group constellation. This opens our sense of interconnection to web of Life, readying us to meet the land on the second day.
Day Two: Threshold-crossing, story sharing and integration
Equipped with our intention statements, we cross a physical threshold into nature, and have time alone to be, explore, contemplate and receive messages from the land.
We are then received back into our little community, where we each share our insights and wisdom from the land, telling our stories in circle. As guides, we offer reflections to help people see the gifts of their stories.
How we work
We lean into the natural, cyclical structure of the seasons. In this way we take our right size as humans, allowing Nature to be our guide.
We experience the seasons as a natural architecture containing deep wisdom and holding we humans can tune into, if we listen. At our retreats, each new season is threshold; an opportunity to reflect consciously on what’s past, to see and release what we’re ready to let go of, and to realign with what is emerging now on our true path through life.
We include ceremony, ritual and the practice of council to show respect for ourselves, each other and nature.
We are deeply grateful for the teachers and lineages from which our approach stems – paying respect to the wisdom cultures and communities which have nurtured and shared these traditions for the benefit of all.
Testimonials
“Beautifully held, beautifully facilitated. Really deep, precious work.” Todd Roache
“Naomi and Laurie held beautifully the day of crossing the threshold from Summer to Autumn. I’m lucky to spend much time walking and cycling, enjoying the connection with nature. This workshop, however, gave me the space, with gentle suggestions and guidance from Laurie and Naomi, to engage more fully with what nature could offer and wow, what an amazing experience I had. The workshop was wonderful ‘me-time’ to explore and gain insight into what the changing of the seasons could offer . . . I experienced some deeply moving insights which I can take through the autumnal months and I thank Naomi and Laurie for their expertise and holding which allowed this to happen.” Donna Vince
“Laurie and Naomi held space for the group so beautifully and respectfully. The care, preparation and attention to detail they put into their facilitation of the workshop was evident. Their love and passion for the power of nature to guide, heal and connect is so clear and they communicate that in all that they do. I felt safe, welcomed and held to allow me to vulnerably engage with the workshop and with the group.” Hanna Plant
“The safe and loving space which Laurie and Naomi co-created quickly put me at ease. The weekend was thoughtfully planned out, allowing us to get gently connected while also giving space for people’s individual intentions and needs to surface. Their powerful connection to the Earth along with their loving willingness to share this with us is truly deepening my own connection. This deep work is helping me see and remove barriers that have accumulates. I’m so excited to keep going, keep peeling back, keep connecting. I can’t recommend these weekends highly enough, thank you.” Polly Wilder
“Profoundly brilliant!” Duncan Parker
